About
Cupping is a Eastern medicine treatment that has been used for centuries to help aid the body in detoxification, improve circulation and flow, sedate the nervous system, and address restrictions between muscles and fascia. Cupping is a technique that uses glass cups and fire to create suction. This draws the muscle and superficial tissues into the cup which is then glided along the skin or left in a stationary position. This is typically very relaxing and helps to relieve a variety of conditions. Restoring circulation and flow is achieved through a combination of acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, and/or cupping. These treatment techniques work synergistically to address stagnation or where your energy or “Qi” is stuck, which causes pain and dysfunction. Addressing stagnation gets to the root cause and supports deeper healing.
